A must buy

This book is a must buy for any quilter. Lots of different patterns to choose from, easy to read, and the colors in this book are fantastic.

I love this book...

Another wonderful quilting book by one of my favorite authors! Nancy J. Martin brings a fresh approach to using reproduction fabrics in this book. Her directions are clear and precise and the color photos are excellent. I also enjoyed the history of 30's fabrics she includes. The patterns themselves are not vintage - this is clearly stated right on the back of the book which says "Features vintage-style fabrics in fresh, fun quilt designs". The designs ARE wonderful, but it's the fabrics that take center stage in these quilts. So if you're eager to use some of those wonderful reproduction fabrics so abundant in the quilt shops these days but weren't sure how to use them to their best advantage, this is a wonderful book to own! Like me, I'll bet you'll have a hard time choosing which quilt to make first. Each is a gem!

Threads from the '30's: Quilts using repoduction Fabrics

This quilting book is all I wanted it to be. It has some great patterns using the '30's fabrics. I am looking forward to using this book.

A wonderful addition for the quilter's reference collection.

Nancy Martin compiles Threads From The 30s, an especially recommended feature of vintage fabrics in the 1930s style. Simple patterns and reproduction fabrics are featured in the course of 13 quilt projects, accompanying a history of 1930s fabrics.

Threads from the 30's

This book was well written, easy to follow. With so many repro fabrics available today, possibilities were endless. The projects in this book brought you back to when your grandmothers were quilting.
