Typical Jean Plaidy - Fantastic!

This book is about William of Orange, the Dutch Prince, and how he has ambitions for the three crowns of Britan, and sets his sights on Mary, daughter of James of York, who was the brother of Charles II of England. She was the English heir to the throne after James (who was hated by the people) and William marries her for this reason. This book is also about William and Mary's childhoods, and the state of the British monarchy under Charles II at this time. Great fun, kept my interest throughout the book, and had all the drama that one would expect from the court of Charles II. A must read for Plaidy fans!
