Educational, Informative, Socratic...

In a rather Socratic question and answer format this book has the effect of educating (and then some) a reader as far as the military side of American history 1756-1815 goes. Sometimes it gets a little dry and dense but its accuracy is perfect as far as I can see, and as for comprehensive, it is certainly that, including in its copious appendices subjects such as the names of ships that fought in various wars, commanding officers, and the outcomes and locations of all battles Americans fought thru the end of the War of 1812. This book really shines, though, in its mythbusting and in its unflinching truth-telling as far as its subject matter goes. Bravely composed as far as its format, this is an ideal book for self-education.

An Entertaining Resource for Studying the Revolutioany War
