I am in love ...

I am thoroughly in love! I am not sure how Jillian... does it but she makes the whole darn famly come alive for a person in just one book ... and of course, make the reader want for more ... I know that is the idea .. but how great is that ... that it truly pulls the reader in ... I have to admit the only disappointment I felt was when I completed the book and it was over. I could have gone on and on and on ... and that is always how I have felt about all the McKaslin Clan (her other series that I was completely addicted to) ... I never want to leave their lives. She does real well with that. I find in some books where I may truly love the character(s) in the book ... that I have no problem leaving them behind when I am done and just kind of mark it off to a good experience .. but I found that this is another one that I want to be part of their family, their experiences and their lives. Absolutely excellent. You could feel the pain of Justin and Rori and knew that they were hurting so much ... that they wanted to reach out to the other person but the pain of their past was just too much for them to get past and kept each of them from taking that step. At the same time ... you got to get started getting intrigued with the romance of Frank (Justin's dad) and Cady (the new lady in town) ... and realize that age certainly doesn't stop the uncertainly of the worries of being hurt again in love. Along the way, you meet all the rest of the other 4 brothers and sisters of the Granger Family, along with Rori's adorable grandparents and a few other wonderful people in this terrific town. I am so looking forward to her next book .. like I so often do! Excellent reading material!

A Great Read

She broke his heart several years ago when she left town seeking bigger and better things. Experience told Justin he wasn't good enough. He wasn't looking for any relationship or to rekindle any feelings from the past, but he still didn't like what he saw. And what he saw was Rori Cornell, his old high school sweetheart, walking down the street, looking better than ever. If that wasn't bad enough, she showed up at his family's ranch to interview for the cook and housekeeper position. He was not happy. But he could tell she'd fallen on hard times and his conscious wouldn't let him turn her away when he knew she needed a job. A man has to eat, but he was keeping his distance. He'd worked hard to put a protective shell around his heart and he wasn't letting anything or anyone crack it. He'd just have to ignore the fact that his heart was disagreeing with his head. Rori was captivated once again by Justin, despite her feelings of failure and distrust with men. It didn't matter though. Justin was clear he aimed to steer clear of her. And no matter what her heart was telling her, no man was worth trusting again. She'd made mistakes all right, but she was smarter now and things were going to be different from here on out. It felt good to be home for the summer. Her love of music and teaching brought her pleasure, but the love of being home brought her peace. Was it possible to have both? They once had a love that never meant to hurt. But that was exactly what they'd done to one another. Can misunderstandings be overcome in order to move beyond the pain their decisions have caused? Can they seek God's plan in order to get beyond the past, accept the present, and look forward to the future? Jillian led us to the Granger family ranch and welcomed us as part of their family, as we lived right alongside them with her description of ranch life. Lessons of true love, pride, and misunderstandings are woven through this inspirational romance. Not all lessons are easily learned. Jillian shows how God works to bring people around to the truth and back to true love despite their stubbornness. Trusting in God's plan -- despite our hurt, lack of trust, and overwhelming fears, -- is always best. It's only through God's promises that we can make promises of our own. I enjoyed reading this sweet, sweet love story. And I can't wait to read more of the stories about the Granger family where ranch life, love of God, and stubbornness are all bound to collide giving us more wonderful love stories. Congratulations, Jillian,on yet another winner! I can't wait for another mini-vacation into Wyoming with your next book in this series.

Can romance once again enter into the hearts of these two or will plain stubbornness keep them apart Excellent Love Inspired Book by author Jillian Hart. I started reading it and next thing I know the book was finished . It was one of those afternoon don't do anything else afternoon reads. I always like the questions for discussions in the back of the book as that really helps a reader to understand more of what they have just read.
