Worth the "price" to buy!

It is 1842, and Joshua Quittner is a poor farm boy. That is, until he is accepted into the prestigious Harvard seminary. New teaching, friends, and adventure soon follow. The beautiful Morgan Hannah Collins wins Joshua's affection-from first sight-but he knows it couldn't possibly work out between them, so he tries to push thoughts of her out of his mind. But-what if he did stay in Cambridge, start a church, and earn enough money for them both?That dream is taken away when he is called home to see his sick father. The people there need him, so he would live there and be the pastor.As time goes on and his parents urge him to marry, he grows fond of a young lady named Constance. The Price, by Jim & Terri Kraus, is the comming of age story of Joshua Quittner that will relate to any collage age christian wondering what God has in store for them. Joshua, the protagonist of the story, comes to realize that God has more in store for him than the boring life that he grew up knowing that he would live. The story also delvs into every chriatian man's question of "Who does God want me to marry?" Being a christian that is just embarking into a life that is going to keep changing it is good to read a book like The Price. It has shown me that even when I think that nothing good is going to come from a difficult situation, God is in control.
