Amazing Childrens' Bible

I would like my church to give out one of these bibles to all the appropriate aged children. My three year old son asked Jesus into his heart by praying one of the prayers of praise in this Bible. As I was reading the prayer (after the story where Jesus goes to prepare rooms for us) I was overwhelming by it and realized it was the prayer of salvation. I was floored when my son said he wanted to pray that prayer. Could you ask for anything more from a bible? Yet, I am amazed at the theological accuracy of this Bible. Now, largely due to this Bible, my son knows more about the Bible than most adults. He sees the stories not just as a story to "know" but one that affects our daily life. He sees the stories not just individually but also also how they fit into the whole picture. Maybe my church should get one for the adults too!

Great kids bible - I need to buy another!!!

My oldest daughter received this book 6 years ago as a baptism gift. We started reading it when she was an infant. She is 6 years old and absolutely LOVES IT!!! She knows many of the stories by heart. My 2-year old now listens with us as we read. The stories are short, but yet get the point across, in a very understandable manner. The pictures are great, and really keep the children's interest, unlike other "pictureless" children's bibles I've seen. I am now going to be a godmother to my sisters brand new baby, and am so glad I found it here, because I want to give her daughter one too!!!

Great book!

When I was looking for a picture Bible for my kids, I looked at every one that was out at the time. The biggest problem I had was that all the characters looked to Eurpoean. This Bible makes a point of being ethnically accurate. So, Pharoah has darker skin than Joseph, etc. etc. There is a seen of the angels praising God before the shepherds that depicts the heavenly host as made of angels of every different race. Very cool. Theologically it is accurate as well -- it even gets Jonah right. This is the best picture Bible out there!

Biblically accurate stories that are fast and fun!

Now, The Praise Bible, also illustrated by Dennas Davis, combines a fun illustration style taking kids into the 21st century, with fast paced and biblically accurate story text. The part we like best, is how each story is summarized at the end in a contemporary scene, that applies the truth of the story in a way that children understand. And, it helps children have a positive attitude about the Bible, since each story is up-beat and ends with a focus on thankfulness to God.Anyone who opens up The Praise Bible to the story about "The Seed and the Soil" will immediatly see how the illustrator is able to teach the story so well with his fantastic art work - and then when the art is combined with the story - it truly is a master piece.I highly recommend it for children from ages 3 to 7, and believe it is also simple enough for even college professors to understand!

A BIBLE FOR RUGRATS!

This is my 7-year olds indispensable Scriptures. He loves it. Your child will too. The bright, vibrant artwork of Dennas Davis coupled with Mack's retelling of favorite Bible stories is wonderful. For children raised on VeggieTales and Nickleodeon, this is their Bible!
