Another superb book by a master romance writer!

No, DON'T skip this one! Yes, it's emotional and full of angst. That is what makes Lorraine Heath so great. She delivers with every book she writes. Even her less than fantastic books are far better than most other writers' books. This one is one of her better ones. It is full of family ties, relationships, and twists and turns. It ties together the relationships of Kit, Gray, and Harrison and their families. The reader gets to revisit with those wonderful characters while meeting their children. With each Heath book I read, she is quickly rising to the top of my all-time favorite authors - those that I will buy and read just because her name is on the cover.

Incredible!

This book steams with romance that anyone would wish to know. The characters are very real and identifiable. Heath writing at her best. Many twists and turns to keep the pages turning. You do not want to miss this one.

One of Heath's best books

I loved this book. It was one of my favorites by Lorraine Heath, and I've read them all. I thought she did a terrific job creating and presenting her heroine with a disability, a very difficult job for a writer. The hero...wow! I loved him. Lee was very sexy. I guess one of the things I liked the most about the plot is that we are with Lee and Angela almost the entire time. The story is their story, with not a bunch of subplotting to take us away from the romance or the main characters.

A winning tale

In 1891 Fortune, Texas, bank robber Lee Raven has no choice, but to abduct Angela when she apparently sees his face during a hold-up. No way was Lee going to allow the beautiful woman to identify him to the Rangers, but he is not a killer in spite of his reputation. Neither Lee nor his mob has any idea what to do with Angela except take her along with them. To his shock, her so-called clumsiness is a result of her being blind, which means that Lee never had to abduct Angela. Feeling he has no options, Lee takes Angela to his family ranch. She is already aware that the so-called dangerous outlaw is actually a kind person stealing for the good of his friends. Soon the OUTLAW AND THE LADY begin to fall in love, but he fears she is the one who will reveal everything he has tried to bury over the past five years.The story line of this western romance is fast-paced with non-stop action and references to and appearances of characters from Lorraine Heath's Rogues of Texas tales. Lee is a strong lead protagonist and the support cast provides depth especially about him.. However, the plot belongs to Angela, whom may be blind, but rejects the notion of a handicap without the author falling into some maudlin apology for her physical condition in part due to Lee's willingness to "bluff" with her.
