excellent book

i had been trying to get pregnant for a year. i bought this book, read it cover to cover and was pregnant within 2 months. i swear by this book. i honestly don't think i'd be pregnant if i hadn't bought this book. it's not just for lesbians, either. i bought it for my straight friends, who are also trying to get pregnant.

Great resource for woman creating families through AI

My girlfriend and I were up last night doing nothing more than browsing through the chapters. We were amazed at the level of content and wide range of subjects from the early decision making process with exercises to help drive a conversation all parties need to have to actual ways to increase and enhance fertility. Great resource for describing the different methods of becoming pregnant, considerations sperm donation, I didn't know all of this stuff before. It address physiology, actual medical procedures, nutritional needs of birth mother, and the real emotional and social factors that need to be considered including what the non birth mother may be experiencing. I never thought could produce a child with the woman I love. With this book I know the dream we talk a lot about later is a very real possibility.

Amazing resource for building family

When I was writing the first edition of my "Choosing Single Motherhood" book, I wasn't aware of the earlier version of this book. Now that I am, I am making a special effort to include mention of it in the newest edition of my book. It's an amazing resource for women who want to understand the ins and outs of donor insemination, including an excellent chapter on what is involved in using a known donor: what sperm tests reveal and why it's important, the fact that fertility can be enhanced, the questions and conversations both parties need to have, and a really comprehensive look at the medical issues that enhance anyone's insight into how to best prepare for this choice.

Excellent for all women considering donor insemination

I've been reading every book I can find about donor insemination and this is the best I've found. Whether using fresh, frozen, known, anonymous, at home or assisted by medical practitioners, medicated or not, this book has useful information for decision making, social/emtional issues and nitty gritty physical information. It is an excellent resource for any woman considering alternative methods of conception, regardless of sexual orientation. I highly recommend it.
