Pro Hoops Fans Will Enjoy This

This book is a solid illustrated history of the NBA Finals from the league's beginnings in the 1946-47 season up through 1990. An account is given of each Finals series, and for some seasons the book recounts earlier rounds of the playoffs, if they were compelling enough. The accompanying photos are top-notch. In a sense, the history of the NBA Finals is the history of the NBA. The NBA, much more than the NFL or MLB, is a playoff-oriented league--the regular season matters much less in the NBA than it does in pro football or baseball. This volume would be of great interest to any pro basketball fan who is curious about the history of the NBA.
