I had the whole collection as a child [loved them all]and now my granddaughter can enjoy this collection as well!

Trixie Belden books

My little sister and I grew up with Trixie Belden, read them over and over. My sister still talks about Trixie,I'm giving her four of these from the new author for christmas. I know that she will love them. By the way we are both grandmothers.

Exciting mystery!

Trixie discovers that Crabapple Farm was one of the stops on the Underground Railroad, and she and the Bobwhites visit Virginia, learning about slavery and the Civil War, and also solving a mystery about an emerald necklace (maybe it's real, maybe not). It's a wonderful book, and one of the best in the series.

Brings back some pleasant memories.

I grew up huddled with these books on Sunday afternoons, and I feared Trixie wouldn't hold up to my adult sensibilities. How wrong! Sure it's quaint, dated and utopian. But the memories are sweet and comforting. This tale was always my favorite. Trixie and her friends dig into Civil War history, roam the countryside freely and live for friendship, adventure, good citizenship and mother's homecooking.
