the mastersI do

I don't play golf but I love to watch this game and any other on tv.Its amazing the things they go through just to get ready for this one yearly game. Amazing.

Every golfer should own this book

A book written by someone who has attended and written about the Masters for over 50 years. While it is slim and easy to read, each reason will cause one to reflect and reminisce about past Masters one has seen, and the participants who were competing. Then there are additional pauses as one reflects upon one's own life at that point in time. Recommended for all golfers who have a soft spot in their hearts for golf and the unique competition which is the Masters.

An Absolutely Wonderful Book--Master-ful

Ron Green says it best in his introduction:"(To) you who make the Masters happen every year,...please accept this book in appreciation." This book is Ron Green,Sr.'s gift to the Masters as the Masters is Augusta National's (Bobby Jones' and Clifford Roberts')gift to golf. It is lovingly and caringly written and is a fitting tribute to golf's greatest tournament, the last of the truly great sporting events, an event dedicated to the game, to the sport, and not to commercialism. In word and in striking pictures, it is a warm, caring tribute to all that Joness/Roberts and Augusta National hold dear. For those who love and revere the Masters --and what golf fan doesn't--this book is not only a must read, but a must have. It is keeper.... The spirit and traditon of the Masters is probably captured best in Green's last reason (101) for loving "golf's greatest tournament: "Encore, Forever--When the last putt has dropped and the sun is setting on Masters Sunday, any sense of loss is tempered by the knowledge that they're going to do it again next year, same time, same place, same azaleas, same pines, same hills and valleys, same aura. It's a nice thought..." That it is, Ron, that it is...and you have given us a very nice to commemorate the tournament, the event, the aura.
