Wiccans don't own witchcraft!

Of course this well written and informative book doesn't appear to follow the 'wiccan rede' cause the author is not a Wiccan, and guess what world - most Witches don't follow a phony axiom that was invented by one selfpromoting man named Gerald Gardner in the 1940's. The Wiccan Religion has swamped bookshelves and people's minds with this ridiculous brainwashing and ignorant 'fear' of the power of witches and spells. Of course people want to meet their soulmate, and of course real witches have been casting love spells and servicing the public with all kinds of spells and charms for thousands of years. (and thousands of years before the Wiccan religon and rede was invented) Wake up Wiccans, you don't own witchcraft and stop being so intolerant of the originals. The wiccan rede is a make believe and modern invention by people who wish to brainwash magical seekers and downgrade free spirited followers of the true witchcraft. I'd recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn and practice witchcraft in the ancient way.

A must-have guide into modern witchcraft and ancient ways

This is such a great book, much bigger and wiser than it's title suggests - with good solid information on the ways of witchcraft and living with magick on a spiritual level and on a daily basis. The author, Deborah Gray has been living her life as a witch for many years, and it shows, she's been practising since well before the current magickal boom - and the information she gives in this book shows her experience and deep understanding of what magick and the Ancient Craft is all about. Refreshingly this is also not written strictly from the so called 'Wiccan' point of view, it's much broader in it's scope than that, (apparently the author has studied in the old form of learning the Craft - the oral traditon and one on one apprenticeship with a master witch over many years). She debunks quite a few of the confusing myths that about too (yay it's about time too) It's a fascinating read, with great advice on what to look for when looking for teachers or covens and how to approach witchcraft as a solitary practitioner. Yes it has lot's of spells but it also teaches in detail how to formulate your own - as well as giving some unique insights into the power of the spoken work and music etc. I now recommend this book to anyone who wants to know about the Craft.
