The End of Religion

I only wish there was a book like this available 30 years ago. What a difference it could have made in my life. Thank God it's here now, to help maybe (hopefully) multiplied thousands. I believe deep down that all of us who walk in relationship with Christ know that " religion", (in and of itself) never satisfies. Yet we burden ourselves with trying to measure up to the demands of it. Even without realizing it sometimes we juggle relationship with religion...(WILL NO MORE!!!). In this book Bruxy really brings to light the reasons why it doesn't satisfy. Thanks Bruxy for all the time you spent writing and researching this book. It's the most helpful book I've ever held apart from the scriptures themselves.

A world changing book - will be read for generations,

There's not very often you get to read a book that will be read by Millions over many generations - that started at a grassroots level by a humble pastor who is simply on a spiritual journey. Bruxy is extremely well read, and The Meeting House Podcasts top the charts at iTunes for their category. I loved reading this book, and so did my Mom whom I gave a copy to. I'll go on the record and say that until you read this book, you can't say you've looked at all perspectives of the Christian faith. If you hate God and/or Religion - you'll love this book. If you're a Christian - you may be forced to rethink why you believe what you do; and will mature in the process in your faith. If you don't know what you believe, because of past history with Religion - then you will be healed. Point of interest: Bruxy is the teaching pastor at the Meeting House, which means his office is covered floor to ceiling on all walls with books from countless authors on countless subjects. He takes live Q & A (unscripted) in front of thousands of people each week. While other staff manage the operations, Bruxy's primary job is to learn and teach. His insight and knowledge are legendary, and this has helped grow a small denomination of 100 into over 4000 people attending each week (and growing). This book is the next best thing to seeing him in person - or better yet learning from him each week over a number of years.

Must read for those turned off by religion

This book was a great benefit to my ailing soul. I used to be a member of a christian church, some would consider a cult; afterwards an avowed agnostic and now a tepid agnostic Christian. This book has shown me that Christianity is not the Church and all entangled with it, but the relationship we build with Christ. I think that if I were to become a full fledged Christian, this book has helped me take a step toward that direction, more than any other Christian book I have ever read! That is saying a lot, since I have read an extensive amount of christian literature. I have purchased multiple copies to give to Christian friends and my family. Simply put, this book, has the potential to change the lives of those outside and inside the Christian relationship.

Forget the Cliches:

FINALLY, a book that TRULY centers itself on Jesus. It strips away 2000 years of "Ianity" and leaves us with all that is Christ. All of this without offering this new book or its author as the answer and without creating further divisions in the church. Forget the clichés on the subject of Jesus and the church--THE END OF RELIGION leaves them no room--finally, Jesus without our baggage.

This book changed my life. Religion has become an unfortunate problem for all of us; however, most will not admit it. Bruxy has paved the way for all of us to see Jesus for real through relationships and through a deeper understanding of the Biblical text. I would recommend this to everyone whom belongs to a Christian denomination.
