It will make an everyday monk of you!

It's funny, I had just gotten done watching a movie that screamed "fear your government, hate those who disagree with you!" Fear! Hate! Fear! Hate! Hate! Hate! When I got done watching it, I felt like I had been poisoned. And then, I picked up this book! In this wonderful little book, we return to the world of the Little Monk, a simple soul who is seeking to serve God, through a life of prayer and simplicity. This book is a lesson in Christianity that should be read by every believer. Each chapter is a wonderful little lesson in tranquility, prayer, simplicity, and serving our Lord - just the right size for a quick, before-bed read. This book was just what I needed to read. I loved the stories, and the profoundly deep lessons that they teach on serving God. If you are a believer, then you really should get this book. It will make an everyday monk of you!

Profound wisdom amidst the parables!

Strikingly attractive illustrations combined with a hard-hitting simple, yet profound message make this book a must read for the young and old alike. Written so that a child can understand yet wise beyond telling, this is an enjoyable book that can be read by all.

Prayerfully Entertaining

I received this book as a present and enjoyed it very much. While it read easily like a novel (which it is) it was also very prayerful and meditative. It is not a "heavy" book it is a light book with a "heavy" impact. I love the drawings as well!
