A Story of Friendship with Lots of Richly Illustrated Pictures Satisfies
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 17 years ago
My two boys learned to love books and eventually to read from ones like this one. This is adventure, friendship, and an imaginative portrayal of how two creatures find out about each other and other creatures they meet along the way. From boating and fishing and a rescue at sea to cycling to picniciing, and star gazing they learn what they like or don't like and have fun doing it. When my kids were very young, I skipped over alot of the text and we just enjoyed noticing all the details in the illustrations that tell the story without words. It's a book that you can read over and over from very young right into the learning to read years. I can't tell you how many times my active, let's-go-out-and-play guys gladly came in for cookies, milk and reading books like J.B. Rabbit that could hold their interest and inspire their imaginary play together afterwards.
