Gravitated From Canada

This is an old book full of information about the beginnings of ice hockey as we know it. It was popular in Canada for a long time before America decided to try it out. This volume (not exacty an enclclopedia) is full of old information up to 1970. The key lyrics in that old song, "Has Anybody Seen Kelly?" have always served to remind fans of the most versatile All-Star in the history of the National Hockey League by the name of Leonard Patrick Kelly. In 1947, he was recruited by the Detroit Red Wings and went on to make history. No man on skates was ever too big or too tough for Ted Lindsay to challenge. He was small (5 ft. 8 in. and 160 lbs.) but he always carried a big stick. He was smart. I have decided he may have been right to do so as crazies and crooked felons will pick on a smaller person. We have to be able to protect our bodies and our dignity. Ted certainly could do that with style. The new Ice Hockey is a game of aggression and violence on the ice. We have the Ice Bears who are a pleasure to watch as they always play fair with less aggression of the bigger leagues. See my review of ESPN.
