The Anti racist ideology is equal to racist

The anti racist ideology requires you look at people via their race and not as individuals, That is the definition of racism! to Treat people based upon their race is wrong we should be treating people equally.

Required reading for writing teachers

I recently read this book for a grad school class, and it is the best “professional development” I’ve ever gotten. I would encourage all teachers of writing to read this book. Chavez provides detailed steps for improving the writing workshop to be more equitable, meaningful, and engaging. While her experience is at the collegiate level, many of her strategies could easily be implemented at the high school level. I cannot wait to use what I’ve learned in my own classroom this fall!
