the ten things you need to know abour Islam

Excellent for group study and learning about Islam. Includes good suggestions about approaching Muslim in explaining Christian views.

Worth a read. Helpful to Christians

Definitely it will take many more than 137 pages to tell all the differences between Muslim and Christianity. Nevertheless, the author had done a good job to bring out some important ones. At least, he dares to write in page 47 that "I take no pleasure in saying a demonic spirit spoke through Muhammad, but this is precisely what the evidence seems to indicate. If I am correct in this assessment, the relevations this spirit gave Muhammad have deceived more than a billion people." No matter what, I think this book can help, in particular Chapter 10 "Dialoguing with Muslims". In short, recommended! Below please find some of my favorite passages for your reference. The Quran speaks of Jesus as being sinless, but it makes no such claims about Muhammad. The Quran commands that men should have no ore than five wives. Muhammad, however, married 11 women after the death of his wife, Khadija - and one of them was only nine years old. Muhammad ordered his men to raid caravans and allowed them to keep the booty as long as he was given one-fifth. Unlike Jesus, who taught that we should love our enemies, Muhammad ordered executions of some people in Mecca who had formerly opposed him. pg 44 Christians disagree with the Muslim view that heaven is a sensual place of pleasure where faithful men can have 72 beautiful maidens at their disposal and eat, drink, and enjoy full bodily satisfaction. pg 92
