How Does One Choose?

The franchise is as ancient as the hills, one of the Original Six, playing when most of the NHL teams today had never even been dreamed of. The book takes the history of the Bruins in alphabetical order, of all things, switching from players to events to sports-watching venues. Some are described in simply a sentence or two, others are more in depth. The top level of stories are easy to choose. You can't have a Bruins history book without Ray Bourque, Bobby Orr or Lionel Hitchman. But where does one go from there? Many moments made the book, but others were certainly culled to fit the format of the book. Suffice to say, there's room for More Tales from the Boston Bruins. One odd note. My edition had an extra two pages, reprints of the first pages beyond the introduction. I just hope that the next person who bought the book wasn't missing them! They'll never know about Charles Adams and Johnny Aiken.

KERRY KEENE DOES A KEEN JOB

TALES FROM THE BOSTON BRUINS IS A COLLECTION OF SHORT STORIES ABOUT FORMER PLAYERS WHO WERE LEGENDS AND SOME WHO PLAYED JUST ONE GAME. IT COVERS SUCH LEGENDS AS ESPO, ORR AND CHEEVERS. ALL OF THE PLAYERS COVERED ARE JUST A PAGE OR TWO BUT ARE ENTERTAINING AND INTERESTING. IT BRINGS BACK SOME GREAT MEMORIES. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS EASY READING AND NOSTALGIC LOOK AT THE MEN WHO WORE THE BRUIN UNIFORM.

Fun, but quick.

I enjoyed reading this book. It was full of interesting stories, though short, of old time hockey. I wish there would have been more about the more recent players, but learning about the older players, of which it's hard to find out a lot, was both fun and informative. Also, the first printing of this book was mis-published. There were a lot of errors as the first reviewer stated, but has since been recalled. I was working in a bookstore at the time had had to go through every copy. If you were to buy it now, you'd get the corrected version with only one typographical error.

AWESOME

If you bleed black and gold you'll love this book its a must !!!
