An Honest, easy to read book.

Jack Deere was a professor who was teaching that the gifts of the Holy Spirit were only for the days of the apostles, until he himself had an encounter with the Holy Spirit that changed his life. He also learned to hear the voice of the Lord by the Spirit, not audibly. If you have a hunger for a deeper walk with Jesus Christ and an intimate relationship with Him, pray and ask the Lord to speak to you as you read these two books.
