Different Approach

There's plenty of lessons to learn while enjoying a new way of life. I've learn to approach situations differently, and in doing so, my mood swings has gotten a lot better. If you want to learn about yourself and how to solve and cope with daily issues, you should get this book and put your meditative approach into action. Absoutley, love it.

A nice romp

This is a fun ramble through various ideas pertaining to the problems our identification with "self" can cause then various ways we can use relaxation, meditation and movement to undo the chains, or at lease loosen them. Dale Carlson includes lots of quotes from other people which I enjoy. Sort of like looking at someone else's underlining in books they enjoyed. Chapters are organized around major topic headings like Love, and Loneliness etc. Not at all academic or strict. This is a fresh breeze of a book.

Carlson demystifies meditation

American Library Association Notable Book author of over 50 books, Carlson has written a meditation book that demystifies and illuminates, using the mirrors of insight and science to reflect what is elusive and beyond words. In STOP THE PAIN:ADULT MEDITATIONS, Carlson has drawn together the diverse elements of the mind, the psyche, and the spirit of science to make the case that thought is an inadequate instrument to solve all problems...that the problems in relationship, with money and work can change only when one has a meditative approach...The words, examples, suggestions on getting started, and quotes from the wise are to get you to look at your own psychological thinking and see the havoc it creates.
