Absolutely Fascinating

Admittedly I had purchased this book on a whim, but soon became smitten with it. It is without a doubt either the best or second best book in the Starcraft line. (Possibly only second to Speed of Darkness) I found it quite enjoyable as to how readable it was, anyone could literally read this book and not feel lost within the Starcraft universe. So imagine how much sense it made to me. It introduced a lot of strong secondary characters that allow you to understand the background of the now Emporer Mengsk. Allong with the characters come intrigueing back story as well engaging bits of action to make sure the mix never reaches a point of stagnation. An excellent read that without a doubt in my mind any individual could enjoy given the chance.

I, Mengsk Wothry of title

Well written and the story gives you a great background for the mind behind the madman. As a starcraft game and book fan I enjoyed this title and admit it's worth the read.

A Raving Good Book for Fans and Non-Fans Alike

This bookStarcraft: I, Mengsk is an awesome book. I never played Starcraft before reading this book and I was immediately drawn into the rich world Blizzard has created. I recommed this book highly to people who love Starcraft or anyone just looking for a great Sci-Fi book!

I, Mengsk the story behind Arcturus Mengsk

This book is great. It gives you the back story to how Emperor Arcturus Mengsk became the man that he is. Also the book deals with his son Valerian. A must read for any fan of the Star Craft books. The story even ties in well with the Dark Templar series (First Born, Shadow Hunters, and coming soon Twilight) Worth the price one of if not the best book I've read in a long while.

Another Billiard book that doesn't disappoint

I continue to be amazed at the quality of the Starcraft/Warcraft novel adaptations even after all of these years. Most of the story is quick and very energetic a new story isn't really told but some important background information is filled in and various new secondary characters are introduced. Of these characters I am most impressed with Angus Mengsk father of Arcturus and grandfather of Valerian. However as with all "lets find in the background" books there are several problems that I have with the story specifically in the rather convenient way that Arcturus shifts gears from confederation marine to prospector to revolutionary. All Starcraft fans know that those shifts had to be made for the sake of the overall storyline but you have to suspend your disbelief for much of it. Overall-Solid, does what it sets out to do.
