Some Girls Do

This is the first book I've read by Leanne Banks. I couldn't put it down. It was funny, sexy, and touching. I took it home, stretched out on the couch and spent a very enjoyable afternoon reading this book. I loved it, I can't wait for the next one to come out in November.

You Will Fall In Love With The Romance Genre!

This book is a perfect example of why a person reads romance. This book is a feel good book, and you will come away with a smile on your face after you finish it.The characters are wonderful! Katie Priss is a perfect example of overcoming your past, and still finding love when it's right in front of your face. Michael is a total hero in more ways then one. I loved the interaction between Michael and Katie from the first. There relationship evolves and is wonderful to read. Wilhemina is a great character. She really comes into her own and lets face it most of us are like this likeable lady then we want to admit. Her storyline was just as entertaining as Michael and Katie's. Chantal, and Jeremy, are also great additions to this wonderful cast of characters. This should really be on your summer reading list. A perfect book for a long car ride, airplane flight, or a trip to the beach, or just sitting at home avoiding the heat! Let Ms. Banks entertain you, you won't be sorry!

Perfect blend of fun and sensuality - Highly recommended

Katie Collins carefully conceals her good looks with dowdy clothes and heavy glasses, hoping to be judged by her ability and not her appearance. With a boss working on his fifth marriage, she certainly does not wish to draw the attention of an insecure woman-not with her family responsibilities and driving need to succeed. When her boss Ivan offers a hundred thousand dollars to find his unattractive daughter a husband, Katie accepts with the hope of finally assuring financial stability. Unfortunately, she shares responsibility for Wilhelmina with security specialist Michael Wingate.Michael likewise has a driving need to succeed. While Katie provides prospective candidates for Wilhelmina to marry, he must screen the candidates, ruling out ex-convicts, freeloaders, disease carriers, and rednecks. At the last minute, Ivan slipped his hairless cat's protection into the contract as well. So when both Wilhelmina and the cat disappear, it is up to Katie and Michael to work together to get them back before Katie looses his job and Michael looses his contract. Their adventure will lead them to Texas, where tall hair and tall hats mark a territory completely foreign to a man like Michael, but familiar to Katie in incredibly uncomfortable ways. Author Leanne Banks brings her characteristically succinct skill of penning lighthearted romps to her first full-length novel in SOME GIRLS DO. Dynamic characterizations spring to life, especially Katie who determinedly distances herself from her mother's image. Consequently, her transformation from prude to siren will have readers amused, particularly as it brings out the protective instincts of this marvelous hero. In fact, Michael and Katie share a determination to also overcome their parents' flaws, not to mention a scintillating chemistry that adds sensual texture to an otherwise amazingly playful read. The secondary plot likewise provides a wonderful storyline, especially with Wilhelmina's unlikely price charming and the world's ugliest cat. Katie's mother's words of wisdom likewise add a note of hilarity and levity readers will love. The result proves that fairy tales can come true when SOME GIRLS DO. The perfect blend between fun and sensuality, SOME GIRLS DO comes highly recommended.

This Girl Did

I loved Some Girls Do! Leann starts each chapter with a "Sunny-ism" which made me wish I'd known Sunny Collins myself. The characters are funny and real and I couldn't put the book down. I loved the vulnerability each character showed, from Wilhemina's lack of confidence in her body to Kate's love for her brother. I cried and laughed and thought the end came way too fast. It's sexy and filled with enjoyable humor. Highly recommend. I read it in a single chuckle-filled sitting.

A Must-Read romance

Series romance author Leanne Banks has made the taken the plunge into the single title market and yee haw howdy, the results are terrific. Some Girls Do offers readers a double-your-fun story of love and laughter. After leaving behind her trailer park childhood for a job working for Ivan ?the Terrible? Rasmussen, Katie Collins never dreamed her job would require finding an acceptable husband for Ivan?s overweight and socially inept daughter. Katie had always tried to be normal (whatever that was) and to stay under the radar. She just didn?t want to be like her late mother Sunny. But the 100K price tag that Ivan attaches to the assignment persuaded Katie that this might be worth the effort. She had responsibilities and that kind of money would be a big help.Michael Wingate owned a security company and in trying to win Ivan?s business, he found himself embroiled in the husband-hunting plan as well. After Wilhemina jumps ship and heads for Texas to do a little hunting for herself, Michael and Katie follow her. Of course, Texas is the last place Katie wants to be. It?s what she?s been trying to escape all her life. And Michael isn?t without demons of his own. He has something to prove and maybe this will do the trick for him. But these two prove to be a match for each other and watch out as the sparks fly!Add a cowboy gigolo, a hog farmer named Douglas, and a hairless cat to the cast of characters and readers are in for a wild adventure. And although Sunny Collins is dead, she still influences her daughter from the grave by invading her thoughts, often at the most inopportune times. Be sure to pay careful attention to the Sunny-isms sprinkled throughout the book. You may want to frame them and hang them on your wall. Some Girls Do will make you laugh out loud and is ripe with sensuality and excitement. It has something for every reader: a plain-Jane woman, an unhappy rich girl, a sweet cowboy who is every girl?s dream, a hunky businessman who is your dream if you?re not into cowboys :-), and a happy ever after conclusion. Get your copy ASAP and enjoy the ride!
