The term "social history" is commonly used in this field to denote deriving the history of a patient's social interactions. Or perhaps of a group of individuals. Typically the latter might be a family, or a set of friends, or a set of people in the same neighbourhood or socio-economic strata. Andrews offers advice on how to extract this history.
