Incredible

Faithful readers of the first three installments will devour this thrilling conclusion to The Unseen series. Like the preceding books, Sin and Salvation picks up exactly where the last left off and quickly sweeps you into this eerie, dark world. It truly feels like you're reading someone's nightmare, a nightmare so real that you'll find yourself suspiciously watching the shadows once you're through. Lucy's struggles with the unseen entity stalking her continue, becoming much more urgent and chilling as not only the final clues unravel, but the remaining stability of her reality. Both readers and Lucy get the answers they've been seeking since the first book, ones that will surprise as much as the other unexpected twists weaved throughout the plot. The book is disorienting, but in a good, creepy way. I was practically breathless when reading this book, eager to get to the end and unable to stop thinking about it once I did. Anyone who has not checked out this series already should, but be warned -- it's so engrossing that not having the next books at immediate reach will leave the dangling plot points nagging at your mind until you do. Sin and Salvation, as well as the entire series, is a dark, suspenseful read where the plot engages you as much as the well-developed characters, and anyone who passes on The Unseen is really missing out on something incredible.

This series will keep you guessing!

I loved how the series didn't reveal the secrets until the end of the 4th book. I conclude that the wolf beasts were not all bad. There was a good and bad side as is true with most things. I do believe that the bad side was destroyed in the end, and the good side had won the battle. I was a little confused by the shape shifter comment, but I still believe he was the "good guy". I would love for a 5th book to be published to describe her transformation as well as her new life. I definitely recommend these books for anyone who's a Cusick fan!

WARNING - SPOILERS AHEAD

Ahhh anyone who can answer this will be greatly appreciated; I think Poesuicide (the one who replied to the person above) might know. But anything would be appreciated! I absolutely loved the books, they were amazing, but I honestly didn't get the ending. =\ -What was Byron's connection to the whole thing? Was he 'bad' too? If not, then he was still one of these human-wolf-beast things, right? So then, if he was still Gran's grandchild an Katherine's brother, how could he have been that thing? Wasn't Katherine AFRAID of the beast things? -So Jared was good? Nicholas was bad? There were TWO of the 'HE's?? Ahhh. But then, see I kind of got it till the end, when she's all ready to go with Jared. But then, he shape-shifts into the BAD guy or something? Or am I thinking totally off? Because at the end when he goes "But you never know what you have with a shape-shifter" he seems really evil and then he sinks his teeth into her neck? Did he turn back into Nicholas or something? My question is, is Lucy happy with the end? If she is, then it's all good and they're not evil? But I still miss Matt. -And as for reading again, would it be enough just to read the LAST book again to figure it out? =\ I would REALLY appreciate it if you could explain everything to me. =P (Oh and didn't Gran know Byron was a beast thing? And didn't Byron himself know? TELL me he was good! I would hate for him to be an evil one too. =( And what was with the Byron being the only sworn enemy without knowing it thing, except Jared was the one that killed Nicholas? Or did he really? Ahh, so confused!)

Wow= )

Maryssa!? what To me it made perfect sense.. after i read it over twice.. haha but really i thought if you read it slowly and put your mind into it and thought like richie. and how she thought up this twisted ending then yea you would get it. Byron was related to the two mysterious men she meets in the third book. i forget there names but that is because i read this book maybe two months ago.. anyway in the last book you ifnd out that in during all of the books when someone besides the narrorator ( the person that you probably thought was the bad guy ) was actually two different people. one good and one bad. altho it was hard to tell who was who in the end i thought that it was a good plot a good ending.. and over all a terrific series.

Cusick's work great as usual, but....

I am such a R.T.C. fan, that I find it hard to not like anything she's done. Though that doesn't mean I don't see things right in front of my face. While I loved this series and the intense darkness it held in it, book #4 left something to be desired in the way it ended. Read no further if you have yet to read the conclusion... I became really attached to a certain character, of whom I'm sure those of you who have read this book, know whom I speak of. This character I found to have a very abrubt end. The male left standing... well, I never saw it coming. It was a character I'd come to hate and the one I liked, didn't survive the end of the book. Why? And the main character seemed to have done off the deep end in the last few pages. She fought so hard against this evil, and all of a suddon she's all gung-ho to join it?!? The end seemed to be off balanced. I lost almost all affection I held for our heroine, with the way it ended. It almost seemed as if there should be one more book to solve this mess Lucy has thrown heself into. Maybe a reserection of the character I spoke of, could save her.... A though. I loved the series regardless though.
