Eh ben!!! Woah!!!!

I think that the book is the hottest of the entire series. I am not used to reading sexually explicit books but this one is encouraging me to discover the category.

A delightful ending for the Awesome Foursome

This books deals with the fourth of the Awesome Foursome introduced in "Champagne Rules" - Rina Goldberg. Throughout the series, Rina's been dealing with her body-image issues, as well as wishing she had the kind of passion that her gal-pals were finding. Building upon a brief mention of a youthful lover, Giancarlo, Susan Lyons builds a believable tale of a woman who just can't believe she's a beautiful buxom babe in today's society of rail-thin "beauties". While at times, Rina's self-doubt, and poo-pooing of Giancarlo's compliments, as well as those of her gal-pals (who in true BFF fashion, shoot true with each other, and not always with much tact) got old; I could deal with it as I've known several friends who sound like her. Hence, I gave the book 4 stars - I really wanted 4.5. There was a nice round-up at the end; but I was left hanging with wanting either a novella or short novel taking place at least a year later - we *know* everyone will be together, but it would be nice to see how some of them are dealing with the hurdles presented in their individual stories - since the whole series took place over the course of only 3-6 months. Susan Lyons' deft skill with both the romantic and sizzling sex sides of her stories, has made her one of my favorite authors - I now check out any anthology that she's writing in.

She's On The Top- A Joyfully Recommended Title

Rina Goldberg is a master musician. But she's not so masterful in the self-image department. Years of being told that she was heavy have taken their toll. She will only make love with the lights out, and refused to believe anyone who says she's beautiful. Rina's life is busy. She is auditioning to be the principal clarinet with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, and her boyfriend, Al, has proposed. Rina knows Al's not the one, and she consults her friends, the Awesome Foursome, Jenny, Ann, and Suzanne, on how to handle the situation. After they figure out the best way to let Al down, Rina does something totally different for her. She looks up her former lover, Giancarlo Mancini, on the Internet. She finds out Giancarlo is in Vancouver on business, and they arrange to meet. But Giancarlo is not the geeky, homely boy Rina remembers. He's now the director of music videos, and he's one hot stud muffin. Giancarlo, a true Italian, knows that Rina's body is perfect, and he intends to show her just that. They begin a hot, steamy affair that makes them both realize they love each other. But Giancarlo has to help Rina overcome her self-image issues to convince her they belong together. You'll need three things when you read this book: a box of tissues, a fan and uninterrupted time. Ms. Lyons's latest book had me overheating one minute, and then crying the next. Giancarlo is one of the sexiest leading men to come around in a long time. She's On Top is a fantastic blend of emotions and hot, imaginative sex. It is a stupendous end to the Awesome Foursome series, and makes me wish Susan Lyons had named the series the Stupendous Six, or the Elegant Eight so there could be more books to read. I'm going to miss the Foursome and their journeys to find the men in their lives. If you haven't read this series you're missing out on a incredible read. Run, don't walk, to the nearest bookstore and pick up She's On Top. It is a definite Joyfully Reviewed Recommended Read for me, and I know you'll love it, too. Amelia reviewed for Joyfully Reviewed

fun Canadian Awesome Foursome tale

Vancouver Clarinetist Rina Goldberg wants to get married to her soulmate, but has not found anyone to replace her first lover classical pianist Giancarlo Mancini, whom she has not seen in a decade; anyone who believes out of sight out of mind is a fool to Rina When she learns that Giancarlo in town, encouraged by her best friends (see CHAMPAGNE RULES and TOUCH ME), she decides to see if he is as interested in her as she is in him and to determine if the memory is as good as the real thing. Now a music video director, Giancarlo has never forgotten the lovely Rina. When she calls him, he is ecstatic as he wonders if reality will match his fantasies. Both will soon know whether they belong together as each still dreams of what they had but let go due to career choices ten years ago. The third Canadian Awesome Foursome tale is a fun entry like its predecessors can stand alone; though the first two stories are entertaining. Rina is fabulous as she is encouraged by the magic of love that has touched her pals Suzanne and Anne so she hopes to make music with the one she never forgot. Giancarlo is her equal when it comes to passion, intensity, intelligence, talent, and love. However will they be able make their relationship permanent or wait another decade as each has issues to overcome. Susan Lyons provides an awesome British Columbia second chance at love romance.
