If you like justice, read this book.

Severed Relations is a tremendous book of crime and justice. I should knowÑ I wrote it. While my editor got a bit carried away with the photo insert, which had been provided to me by the detectives who caught and successfully closed the case, if you are interested in marital murderÑ and especially the Violence Against Women ActÑ I think you'll enjoy the narrative of the case, and the bringing to justice of the overbright woman who killed her husband after a lapse in good judgement resulted in a fit of rage.Severed Relations will be reissued next Spring by my publisher, and the new edition will contain an update on all the characters involved in the crime and its prosecution.I hope you enjoy Severed Relations. A Thorough description of the crime and capture. Good job

Mr Hays explains and describes the brutality of the crime, the problems law officials had with circumstancial evidence and their ability to convict in spite of it . It was an interesting read with a thoroughness that belies an understanding of the problems associated with crime conviction.

Chilling mystery.

A tale of inhumanity toward a good person, this book somehow keep suspense throughout while getting into the minds of the cops and DAs. Good read.

First rate piece of reporting, highly recommended

Severed Relations is a must for true crime fans. Hays knows how to draw the reader in. Well done, highly recommended.
