Awesome!

This is truly a very good book! I wish I could find it on cd or cassette so I could listen to it at work or in the car! I can't say enough about it, you have to read it for yourself!

This book really changed my life!

"See Yourself as God Sees You" changed my life. Its basic idea is that our self-concept (what Josh calls our inner portrait) is based on false messages. We receive these messages through culture and other means, but most importantly through our parents and how they treat us. This book can help you re-program those messages as you shine God's light on your portrait. Obviously this is a difficult process; when I first started it, I felt like I was shooting at a tidal wave with a squirt gun. Nevertheless, this book can help you see yourself as God sees you--as lovable, valuable, and competent. It's the best "God loves you book" that I've ever read. You can read it if you're really hurting or it also makes a great devotional if you just need a reminder. The best part is, Josh McDowell manages to get that message across effectively without being cheesy. Highly recommended!

This is a very good book. It teaches how God transforms us to really walk in the lord. It teaches what God's love it all about.It teaches how God loves us. It teaches how the Holy Spirit helps us to transform to really be loving and forgiving in our walk with the lord. I recommend this Book to every Christian.

Wow, God has really helped me through this book! Anyone who's had problems knowing God for who He really is because of an unfulfilling childhood should read this! The author relates personal experiences as well as real-life situations to the context that God wants us to see ourselves as we really are in Him: lovable, valuable, and competent. So often the world, and often our influences in childhood, tell us otherwise, but this book tackles the subject of proving those lies fase w/ the truth of God's word. A true blessing!
