He Built the Store

Michael Jackson invented beer writing and is the acknowledged "epicure of record," on things beery and the victuals that accompany them. His ratings are most reliable and, better yet, they come from deep knowledge unfettered by brewers' marketing ploys or public trends.

Very handy!

This book is excellent! It has a collection of practically every beer you can think of! If you are interested in tasting various types of beers, you will love this book. It is also pocket-sized so that you can easily take it with you when visiting a pub or bar.

The Beer-Hunter's Bible

This is the most thorough yet concise book about beer I've ever come across. On my 30-day whirlwind tour of Europe, this was the absolute most useful tool I had. I took it everywhere, consulted it constantly, and kept the tattered copy as my fondest souvenir.

The best

This is *the best* of all the so-called beer guides available, bar none. Michael Jackson is world-recognized and well-respected, having actually earned his reputation as an authority on beer (unlike some johnny-come-lately beer authors who write their own claim to fame). Be sure and check out other Jackson works such as _The New World Guide to Beer_ and _The Beer Companion_ as they are also highly recommended.

The best beer book by the best beer author1

What more could one want? Michael Jackson is the world's foremost beer expert and his books are the standard by which others are measured. One author in particular who fails miserably to measure up is Robert Klein, whose monumentally insipid work is the laughing stock of most beer experts. Despite what the previous troll has written here and on the other Jackson book sites (note Jackson's large body of work and the number of co-authored titles as evidence of his experience and credibility) Michael Jackson is *the* recognized expert on beer.
