Thorough

This is not intended to be a comprehensive, indepth encyclopedia. BUt as a basic primer on Rhodesian Ridgebacks, it covers all of the key highlights and provides a firm foundation for understanding this wonderful breed. Intelligently written, well-illustrated, well-organized, easy to navigate, with an index and bibliography. I highly recommend it. $8. 95 pp., Good binding and glossy paper.

great book

This book is very beneficial for any one that owns, wants to own,or simply is fancinated by Rhodesian Ridgebacks. They are great dogs, and this book is a great resource for the money.

New owner's perspective

This book was very enlightening to a new potential Ridgeback owner (me), and it helps new/potential owners decide if this breed is right for you. If you get this breed, you MUST be prepared as they are very smart. They remember everything (good and bad), and this book really represents their mentality. It also gives good tips for positive training.

Sue knows her Ridgebacks!

Having been owned by a ridgeback for over 7 years, Ms. Fox was right on with her "complete pet owner's manual." I especially enjoyed the humor she used when discussing the imperative need for early training. I have always had dogs, but this is my first hound and I will always have a ridgeback. Though definately not a dog for everyone, this book educates the owner or potential owner on the cons and many pros of living with this wonderful breed.

Complete and Informative

This small book, with beautiful and charming pictures and wonderful illustrations, is a complete guide to owning and raising a beautiful Rhodesian Ridgeback. It starts out with a short history of the Ridgeback then moves on to pracical information about owning this very special breed. The information about selecting a puppy, raising the puppy, understanding the adult, training and health are complete. After reading the entire book, I came to a better understanding of the Ridgebacks I have owned and feel more prepared for the puppy I am about to welcome to our home! I highly recommend this book.
