Pamela F. Sevice's Best!!!

I first read this book last year, after my best friend reccomended it to me. We were both (and still are) Ancient Egypt enthusiasts, and so this was a good book for us to read. And we both loved it! Lorna and Ameni make such a cool team. I love the discriptions of Ancient Egypt and Ameni's adventures. This book's full of detail, and the characters are all well-developed. It'll make you laugh out loud, and it will make you cry or even sob. It's my favorite book by this author, and it's one of the top 5 of my favorite books of all time!!! You've got to read this book, even if you're not interested in Ancient Egypt, but in a good realistic fiction/fantesy story that will leave you wanting more. About that: WHAT HAPPENS??? Aghh, I wanna know! [. . .]* Oh, by the way, I'm starting a fanclub for this book! E-mail me at [. . .] if your interested in joining... it's an online e-mail club (where members e-mail eachother, ya' know? And maybe there will be a site), and should start within the month, hopefully.

My Absolute FAVORITE Book!!!

I have read Harry Potter and really enjoyed it. I have read the So You Want To Be A Wizard Series, and loved it. But I have never read a book like this. It was amazing! I got it on a Saturday and finished it the next day. I could not keep my nose out of it. The book starts with Ameni, a "Supposedly Twin Of the Next Pharoh". He had allways loved adventures, but when his father, the Pharoh, died, he found this adventure wasn't going to be quite the same. About 4,000 years later, a girl named Lorna finds a tomb. I am not going to tell you the rest, for that would spoil the book for you, but, just take my word, it will be the best book you ever read. The only wish I would put toward it is the ending. It would be better if there was a sequel, but, no book is perfect. :)

An action packed story that i couldn't put down

I think the reason this is such a great book to read is that the reader can relate to the characters in the book. Only kids who have some interest in egyptology and reading would read the book in the first place, so thats probably why this book has recieved such good ratings. And who wouldn't mind running away from a few boring duties? One thing that bothered me about this book was how the characters acted towards sneaking into museums, private property, and hiding from the police. From experience i know that hiding from the police, even if one is innocent, can be a nerve wrecking experience. But overall this is a fantastic book to read, i only wish it lasted longer.

Heart-pounding Excitement, Heart-wrending Emotions

This book got so exciting I couldn't put it down! I was entranced from the first few pages, and sorry when it ended. (I finished it in math class... do you know, it's really embarrassing to cry in math class?) Lorna was a very believable heroine, and like me in many ways. Ameni sounded like such a nice guy -- I wish I could have met him. When they were brought together and became friends, it was so wonderful! The ending was a real surprise. You must read this book! It won't even take you very long. The only reason I gave it a 9 is that sometimes its writing is choppy...awkward...just sentences here and there. Not anything bad, really. And a FEW of the situations seemed a BIT improbable. But it's still a good book.

A wonderfully rich book

This is one of those books you want to read over and over again. Masterfully combining two settings, Ancient Egypt and Modern-Day Britain, two people, Ameni, singled out by birth, and Lorna, who SEEMS only a bookworm with dreams of becoming an archaeologist, and two views on life, it reaches to unknown heights. Through a strange twist of fate, the dual part of the book becomes one, and the plot twists and turns as the two young people chase thieves all across England. In the process, they discover new things about themselves, and their potential. From the gripping beginning, to the stunning and surprising conclusion, the book rolls like the Nile itself. It is a MUST READ
