John marries Lucy, but then has to return to the Confederate Army in January, and is engaged in the battles of Chancellorsville, where history is altered and Jackson does not die. What follows is alternative history. The Confederates prevail at Gettysburg and then Pipe Creek, but peace remains elusive.
