So you want to invest in real estate, this is a good start

This book is not a step by step instructional book or get rich quick scheme and that is what I like. Ralph R. Roberts give an honest look at what it takes to be a real estate investor. He discusses everything from finding an investor to finding the money yourself to finance you investments. He gives a real look at how to approach investors and what skills you can show them so they will confident in your abilities. He gives practical advice. Mr. Roberts explains the many to acquire real estate such as; finding distressed properties, investing in bank foreclosures, the government and secondary mortgage foreclosures, Tax sales, no money down deals and auctions. He even gives you a checklist to conduct with your search so you don't forget anything. When I need information, I know I can turn here to find it. The Mr. Roberts discusses land lording. He explains the temperament that you need to have and what it takes to manage the property. He gives you practical advice in how to select tenants to give you a better return on you investment. He gives you a list of resources that you will need in your arsenal for being a successful landlord such as legal and economical. This is a great help. The last thing he discusses is how to sell the property when you need to. This is a valuable resource to find buyers and what to do to make the property more attractive for sale. I enjoyed this book because it was strait forward with any hype. He explains things as they are, not in theory. The advice is valuable for real estate investors/ Enjoy
