Thank You

Raymond's Room reveals another Inconvenient Truth that every American citizen needs to confront. As someone new to this profession, my gratitude to Dale for sharing his career and lessons learned. His book challenges all of us to examine a system design that is failing people experiencing disabilities. Dawn Bacon President, Minnesota APSE

Well worth the read

Dale's insight is excellent. I found this book to be extremely interesting and thought-provoking. Many of the opinions, commentary and ideas are right-on! A must-read for everyone in the disabilities field!

So what are we going to do about it...

For years, people with disabilities have been invisible in our society--RAYMOND'S ROOM puts the fire in us to make sure this doesn't continue--let's follow the advice given and look at people for their abilities and make sure that everyone has an opportunity to belong in a valued way--Kudos to Dale DiLeo for writing the consummate book on this suject!

A long overdue reality check

This book is a must have any one supporting individuals with disabilities. The author's frank discussion about segragation of people with disabilities is long overdue. This book can be used, not only as a source of information about segregation, but also as a tool for self-reflection for those in support roles and those agencies funding segregated services. I would highly recommend the book to family members, educators, support providers, state agencies and legislators. David Guido Florida Center for Inclusive Communities University of South Florida

It's About Time!!

Having been in this field for 19 years, I am thrilled to see a book that finally brings to light the last group of people whom can still be legally segregated by our society... people with disabilities. Every legislator, policy change agent, and state funding administrator needs to read about the Disability Industrial Complex. Thank you, Dale, for writing this book! My only criticism is... What took you so long?!
