A commentary on the greatest commentator of all

Rabbi Chaim Pearl of blessed memory would often speak lovingly of Parshandata, the greatest Jewish Biblical commentator of all, Rashi. In this small volume he introduces us to the life and commentary of this giant of the Jewish tradition. Rashi is the commentator who in a one word or phrase opens up the Biblical text in a way no other commentator can. He is a pillar of the Jewish tradition, and a model to many who come after him. I strongly recommend this volume as a way of learning more about this great figure. It is elegantly written and is a wonderful introduction to his life and thought.
