Book looked as good as new

Wanted another edition which actually covered the years past 1914. The California edition looks so similar ended up buying it which is close but not the same.

Plain English

I have been taking this book with me everwhere I go in my car. Whenever I sit down at a restaurant to eat, I read this book to help pass the time and get re-educated at the same time. This book is very nicely written. Very unbiased. Very frank and straightforward in its handling of tough topics. For examples, the factual presentation of how blacks and American Indians have been treated was very honest. The authors did not try to couch our government's dishonorable behavior in soft terms or condemn in hard terms. Very factual and readable. If you feel you would like to revisit 7th grade American History material again, this is one fine book to do it with.
