Rye is so sweet!

Very sweet book! But also the beavers made me angry! Avi is great at writing both very serious issues and light, relatable issues at the same time, and packaging them all up in a book that just feels nice to read. It's like a family drama book, but I'm not mad at all the characters all the time. Rye is adorable.

Roamance , Adventure, and a few new twist

Poppy has done it again ! Not onley does she save Ragweed's brother ,Rye , from a nasty batch of beavers , but she also saves Ragweed's family as well. I'd say this book is for someone who likes animals that's proabaly why I like it so much.

Hello my name is LJ Richmond. I liked this book because there's a lot of action and adventure. The book is about a girl mouse who loses her fiance and she wants to find his parents so she can tell them of the bad news. On the way she finds a new friend. He is a porcupine. wonderful book!

This is wonderful story!! If you haven't read this book, I suggest it. Poppy and Rye is a story about two mice. Poppy visited to Ragweed's house to inform them of his death. Poppy was very mournful but she met a young man mouse named Rye who looked like Ragweed. And she is falling to Rye.

Just like Poppy, one of the best books written!

We thought it was one of the best books we've ever read! We enjoyed it thoroughly and recommened it for young readers. We've always loved Ereth's alliteration. ERETH IS THE BEST!!!!!! We all love Poppy's adventurous spirit. We hope you come out with another book just as good, if not better.

A story of adventure and romance.

Our class read the book Popppy and Rye by Avi. This book is probably good for grades 3 and 4. This book had some romance and some adventure. We think that the book is related to issues in the world like war over land. In this book, the war is between beavers and mice. The story takes place in Dimwood Forest and a brook that turns into a pond from the beaver dam. The characters are Ereth the porcupine, who is a real snap-mouth, and Poppy the mouse, who is the main character. She is a mouse who is trying to get rid of the beavers to save their home. We would recommend this book to people who like animals and adventure, and also romance! It is an exciting book.
