Excellent Book!

I have read many books on EMT's and paramedics and enjoyed this one very much! Peter Telep makes you feel like you are there.I highly recommend this!

great book

this was a great book i couldnt put it down need to write more than 3 do more

TELEP DOES IT AGAIN!

In this second book, Telep captures the essence of how life on the job can cross, destroy and change lives outside of the job. It is a given that firefighters/paramedics are true heroes--but "civilians" truly do not understand how there personal lives are affected by their jobs -- alcoholism, divorce, tragedy -- it runs rampant for folks in this profession. Thanks for helping people to understand that sometimes you just can't "turn off the job" when you leave the station. It carries with you whether you want it to or not.

Night Angel 9

As a former NY State Paramedic, I found this book to be very realistic. It reminded me of the many routine calls that I had been on as well as the reality of the tragic calls. This book pictures Paramedics as real people with real feelings. It lets the reader know that even behind the walls we build to sheild ourselves from our feelings, a Paramedic is a real person.

Playing With Fire

I have worked in critical care for close to Ten years and have been an Advanced Life Support,Pediatric Life Support and Emergency Nursing Pediatric transport nurse/EMT I for Brook's Ambulance, Inc. I really enjoyed this book. The paramedic runs were very well written, very articulate and graphic. I thought I was at the scene of the accidents or fires that took place. For someone who is not an EMT/Paramedic to write a book of this caliber, takes great talent. Peter Telep really was able to write exactly how the paramedics feel after a bad or rough run.
