Spectrum Phonics, a good choice

I used the Spectrum Phonics workbooks for my (homeschool) kindergartner and third grader this year. My Kindergartner used Phonics grade 1, and did just fine. I really like the workbooks, as they complimented the SWR spelling program that I am (half heartedly) using. I will order the 2nd and 4th grade levels for this next school year.

One Of The Best

I will have to say this is one of the best workbooks for Phonics out there. My daughter was having trouble with spelling but after working in this book, she is not having as many problems as before. She can't wait to get started in the Grade 2 Phonics after she finishes this one!

Good for homeschooling

I am using the Spectrum books to homeschool my 1st and 4th graders. They seem to be working very well for us.

Great book for a beginner too!

I pick up this book at the book store for my daughter last year. She just started to learn phonics at her pre-school and I thought this might be a great book. She started to recognize consonants/vowels and now she is 4.6 years old and she has finished half of this book. She goes to really academic oriented pre-school, therefore this really works for her. I might say if kids are really eager to learn, then try this book even she or he is 4/5 years old.
