clearly presented facts for people who wish to become clever

I have a degree in history and am homeschooling my children. I have chosen to instruct my children by anchoring science, culture , religion ,etc to their historical periods. The connections that this book made allowed me to see the logical progression of ideas, or conversely the areas where digressions were possible. I highly recommend these books along with the Horrible Histories to avid and potentially avid middle school level and above readers. My kids get excited about history because books like this one make it about ideas more than just the dates of battles. They are intelligent enough to be a good introduction for an adult reader also.
