The military dictatorship of Pakistan.

I am a fan of Reeves and his books about Reagan, Nixon, and Kennedy. In this earlier book, the author shows the nature of Pakistan when the Soviets had invaded Afghanistan. This is an interesting book about the author's views concerning the different culture of Pakistan. Especially interesting is his views of the military dictator Zia al-Huq. He died in a plane crush to be suceeded by two civilian Prime Ministers, to be suceeded by another military ruler. Pakistan is still playing a troublesome role in the world today, as a poor country breeding a base of terrorists that could destablize the world. It is important to know more about this country or Land of the Pure. A nice, somewhat dated book about Pakistan. Pakistan is playing a role in the world and people need to know about this important country.
