Over the Line by Tracey Richardson 'There's nothing like the unsolved murders of two detectives to get Stevie Houston's blood boiling - especially when the trail leads right back to the small police force they worked for. But when Stevie and her partner start digging for clues, their investigation comes up empty. Someone is orchestrating a successful cover-up - someone on the inside. As far as Stevie is concerned, there's nothing more despicable - or more dangerous - than dirty cops. But the only way to get to them is by going deep under cover in the victim's police force. Tough, smart and definitely not by-the-book, Detective Houston has a fair shot at solving this case ... if she lives long enough.' (Summary from back cover.) I like the character of Stevie Houston and I've read all the books in this short series. They are all entertaining and definitely worth spending a few hours of spare time reading. **Remember - if you want your favorite authors to keep writing for us they have to be able to earn a living doing it. If at all possible try to buy the book NEW. I know it sucks but if you're not going to keep it in your collection put it in the recycle bin to make another book.**

The author captures the true feelings behind being gay and being in a male dominated line of work. The excitement of the capture is exceptional I really enjoyed the book.
