Christian Truth in a daily readable format

Chambers has an uncanny knack for expressing Christian truth and it brought him together with the other authors who excel in their own ways. I highly recommend this book to anyone seeking to delve further into the meaning and application of the gospel. This is laid out in 101 days of devotional biblical reading. Let me write out day 1 since there seem to be no reviews on line yet. 1 The Beginning (this section has international version scriptures John 1:1-5, 10-14, and 16-18) "the Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us" _________________________________________________ From Oswald Chambers * Almighty God is nothing but a mental abstraction unless He becomes concrete and actual, because an ideal has no power unless it can be realized. The doctrine of the Incarnation is that God did become actual; He manifested Himself on the plane of human flesh, and Jesus Christ is the name not only of God and Man in one, but the name of the personal Savior who makes the way back for every man to get into a personal relationship with God. Oswald goes in with 3 more paragraphs about this section of scripture. He tells of the incarnation, of Jesus being God-Man, of not just the Fatherhood of God, but the Babyhood of God in Jesus. Day two includes Mary's song in the collection. Day 101 is about the great commission. In the end pages he tells of advice given to a 23 year old woman which is very pertinent for us all.
