Just what I was after

Very happy, the book was what I was looking for & my children love it & all the great pictures.

Beautifully illustrated horse-y counting book

Counting horses, from one to twelve, with gorgeous paper collages... Maybe the text isn't that magical, but the artwork is very pretty. Ideal for any very young horse lovers looking ot learn their numbers.

Love this book!!

This is one of the most beautifully illustrated children's books I have ever seen!!! My daughter is crazy about horses and is at an age she is learning to count. Perfect book for her!!

Wonderful counting book with beautiful illustrations

This book has been read so much in my house that even I have it memorized! I originally purchsed the book for my daughter, a horse lover, when she was three. The book counts from one to twelve, using rhyming phrases: "One horse waiting for me, two horses in the shade of a tree..." My daughter is now five and can read the book on her own. The colorful illustrations of different kinds of horses in different settings combine beautifully with the rhyming of the text. I highly recommend this book for ages 3-5, and especially for any child who likes horses!

Simple and georgeous

This is a simple counting book for early math readers. What makes it stand out are the illustrations. The pictures are crafted of a paper mosaic tecnique with georgeous textures, the details such as the horses faces are then drawn in. And what faces! Such gentle, beautiful eyes, with great expression. My five-year old, who loves horses has probably read this a hundred time - her favorite page? Like every true horse lover, it's the last page where twelve horses have escaped captivity to "run wild and free!"
