Iris Bolling's Once You've Touched the Heart was a book full of romance and suspense that would provoke you to probe through the pages with eagerness and curiosity from the beginning to the end! Jeffrey and Tracey came from two different types of backgrounds, but destiny would have its way by placing these two together as one...but not without challenges, downfalls, and of course, enemies. Will their love be strong enough to endure the "skeletons", jealousy, and danger that they'd face? Well, once you've touched the heart, there could definitely be a chance. Iris Bolling provided a traditional, thought provoking romance that touches the hearts of readers in various ways throughout the story. Tracy and Jeffery have the ability to captivate one's soul through their stories and roles. True love can't be stopped no matter what opposition it faces

It's been a long time since I read a love story that tugged at my heart. Author Iris Bolling brings a story filled with heartache, envy, love, and suspense. This novel had me cheering for the main characters JD Harrison and Tracy Washington. Jeffrey Daniel Harrison BKA JD is what every woman is looking to snag as a husband. He is good looking, charming, sexy and has a great job as an assistant District Attorney. What's the problem you ask? JD doesn't want to be married he is a player, a respectful one who will call you the next day to say he enjoyed your company. Don't me get wrong these women know what the deal is with JD they just all think they're the one who can make him settle down. There is one who makes him do a double take, that's Tracy Washington. They meet when she comes home with her roommate Ashley during spring break from collage. Ashley Harrison is JD's younger sister. The problem is with her being five years younger and his career taking off he feels she is "jailbait" and too career driven to take a chance with the younger woman. Tracey also feels for JD and feels rejected when he slows down their mutual connection. Tracy goes back to collage never to return, that is until six years later when a case JD is working on brings the two together again and thus the drama begins. These two JD and Tracy have nothing but the upmost respect for one another and once they do begin their love affair, it seems the world is trying to break them up. I felt these two deserve to be together. JD ex's were coming out the woodwork to put a wedge between them, see if any of the plots are successful. JD's job also brings another element to the story. Family history can also destroy their happiness. With all that's going on this made for a delightful read. This could turn out either way you have to read to see what I'm talking about. All the characters in the book brought an element with them that was needed and work very well I look forward for too more from this talented writer with a knack for words and plots. I can't wait to read the sequel it's more of a spin off as Ashley and her love interest James both of whom have time is this novel SiStar Tea ARC Book Club Inc. 4.5 star rating

Love and Politics

Iris Bolling has written a novel of epic proportions. The book grabs your attention and keeps you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end. During the course of this book, the 2 main characters, Tracy and Jeffrey, develop a love that is true and strong. They were clearly made for each other. Politics, intrigue, pathos, family secrets; this book has it all. There is one particular scene in the book that makes me laugh every time I think of it. I noticed that the book was a bit longer than most romance books, but this takes nothing from the quality of the story. Ms. Bolling has taken the time to explore the many aspects of her storyline. She won't leave you hanging. This book reminded me, in some ways, of classic English literature. The villans in the book were extremely persistent, they kept the drama going. I thoroughly enjoyed the supporting characters. I really can't wait for Ms. Bolling's next book. This one still lingers in my mind.

This is a page turner from first to last page,leaving me very eagar to get my hands on the next book(The heart of him). I laughed, cried and cheered with every incident involing this couple and all of the obstacles placed before them.I felt I was actually a part of the story in and on the scene of everything.This is definitely (do not distrub) good reading

Romance With A Twist!

Debut author Iris Bolling's novel, Once You've Touched The Heart is a beautiful love story between Jeffrey Harrison & Tracy Washington. Ms. Bolling has penned an engaging romance with a political twist as a back drop. From the moment the two meet it's clear they're a match made in heaven. However, there are several obstacles that threatens to shatter their happiness. I'm talking everything from attempted murder, to vendictive ex-girlfriends, a brutal attack, and deep family secrets that could destroy everything they've built as a couple as well as Jeffrey's political career. I must say that after reading this author's first novel, my heart was definitely touched!
