Fat chance said the pants

This was a book I had as a child (born in 1996), it was one of my favorites for the vibrancy and silliness, I lost it over time. I ended up finding it here and purchasing it for my daughter who was born in December. Can’t wait to share such a silly and fun book from my childhood :)!

Kids love this book

Both my kids love this book. My 2 year old can't get enough. She loves to point out the items in the artwork on the adjacent page. Sort of an early eye spy type book but with illustration vs photos. We enjoy the colorful drawings and funky rhymes. We also have night city by the same author and my son enjoys counting the mice and looking for the mouse with the clock.

Favorite with Daughter

I don't remember where I found this book but my 9 year old was around 2. She fell immediately in love with the book and so I decided to keep it. Now, my second daughter is almost 3 and it is her favorite book. We have to read it every night. She loves the interaction of finding the objects. By the way, my 9 year old loves to help her sister read it because she loves it so much.

When my daughter was three years old, I read Night House Bright House to her. She enjoyed the book so much that she quickly learned to read the pictured words that rhymed in every sentence. Eventually, she memorized every word in the book--author, titles, all twelve written pages! Family and friends were all amazed. As a result of reading this book, I began teaching my daughter phonics at an early age. Today, she is an excellent reader at age five. I truly recommend this book to all parents who are encouraging their children to enjoy reading.

A fun book that helps children discover their creativity

Night House Bright House is a fun book my 2-1/2 year old daughter really enjoys. When we read it to her we often pause and let her finish the rhymes. Now she looks around the house for objects she can use to make up more rhymes! The brightly-colored pictures are fantastic. My daughter takes the dolls from her magnetic paper dollhouse and uses the pictures as a second dollhouse, making up stories about each page.

This book is great!

This is a wonderful book with very colorful pictures. This book is a good read for children of any age. I am 9 years old and I still love this book even though I am reading much more difficult books. It is funny how most of the things that are saying stuff usually say something like,'"shh-it's night," said the light' or '"Pipe down," said the crown.' My favorite ones are,'"Pit-a-pat," said the mat, "Gobbledygook," said the book, "Spells trouble," said the bubble,' and,'"Stay cool," said the jewel.' I think it's funny how all these things that aren't alive are saying all these weird things. Anyway, this book is great and has fantastic illustrations.
