putting it on the line

Okay. Straight out, this is a book about the porn industry. Actually, I don't think there IS very much fiction about the porn industry. However, this is a very witty contribution, and a bit more, er, shocking than I was expecting from Red Dress publishers. I thought this was a very interesting premise, and despite whatever shocks the reader might get, the story was quite good and the characters were well developed (no pun intended). If you have the stomach for it, it is quite an interesting romp.

A Different Kind of Book

And I'm not saying it's different because of the 'fluffers', although that certainly ranks right up there--I'm saying it's different because it's pretty steamy and hot for a chick lit novel. To be honest, I like it hot (but then I write romance novels, so big surprise). This book is rip roarin' hot. Funny, touching and perfectly hilarious, you'll enjoy the story not only because the heroine is witty, clever and totally delightful, but because it also gives you an insider's view of the porn industry. Whether or not what's revealed is true, I found it all rather riviting.Kudos to Ms. Isenberg for giving me a book I could read without mentally editing (and, no, I do not know, socialize, or otherwise have dealings with the author). This was just a really, reaaaly good book.

there's just not enough books about porn!!!!!

i loved this book. it was recommended to me by two of my friends. i liked that they didn't make laura's main focus in the book to be her love life. also i loved the fact that it gave you the sense that anything can happen in life even if it wasn't your original plan. i think that isenberg always gave just enough detail in every situation. we just need more books about porn!!!!!
