good despite hero and heroine....

this was a first Angie Ray book for me. She is a very good romance writer and the book was entertaining. The flaws-The "romance" between the two characters was a bit frustrating because this is one of the type of romances where the two characters fight-themselves, each other and the romance-till almost the end. The hero, Derek, is a playboy, and he fights being a stand up guy till the end as well. If these were resolved quicker in the book I think it would have been more enjoyable. The praise-even with some character issues, Ms Ray writes such a fast paced, enjoyable story that you can overlook the foibles. I'd recommend this book to anyone who likes time travel, fish out of water, or humorous romance. 4 stars.

A very funny book but slightly perplexing

Not very many books play like a movie in my head. But this book was written so well that I literally saw it in my head as though I was watching a movie instead of reading a book. The tortures that Lady Allison thinks of for the reluctant playboy 'knight', had me rolling in laughter until tears fell from my eyes. The only thing that had me perplexed with this book, is the relationship between Lady Allison and Derek Sinclair. For anyone who has read A Knight To Cherish, the you would know that My Lady In Time is the sequel to it. So if Lady Allison Pelsworth is a descendent of Garrick Sinclair, who is the long lost brother of Derek Sinclair, wouldn't that make Lady Allison Derek Sinclair's great-great niece? That thought provoking question is the only reason why I gave this book four stars instead of five. Aside from that, this book will not leave you feeling disappointed. I would recommend reading A Knight To Cherish first though.

I enjoyed it

Fun and entertaining with a cast of characters I had a good time reading about.

A GREAT BOOK!

I laughed so much when i read this book that tears where streaming down my cheeks...the charachters are loving...the story is witty, funny and romantic...with all this rolled up together it made one of the best books i had ever read!...if you love time travel don't waste any more time trust me you don't want to miss this book..;)

Excellent time-travel novel about Medieval England!

A beautiful ghost visits Derek Sinclair, a spoiled, rich, California playboy and begs for his help. Thinking that the woman is an alcohol-induced vision, he promises to save Lady Allison from a disastrous marriage. Transported back into Medieval England, Derek realizes that he is not dreaming and that his life is threatened. To survive he must win the heart of the fair Lady Allison, who has forgotten about her plea for help, and who is disgusted by Derek's strange talk of the future and his incompetence on the field of honor. Can he survive the torturous training and the murderous intentions of Lady Allison's brutish suitor? This book was very good and had several extremely funny parts. Especially when Derek writes an ode to Lady Allison's elbow and serenades her in the rain while howling dogs protest his failure. And Derek's transformation from a twentieth century, pampered male to a strong heroic knight was wonderful. The book was well researched and it was enlightening to discover all the hardships that a knight had to face just to sit on a horse and prepare for a joust. This was an excellent book!
