Miracles: The Listener/The Gifted

I really love the author of these books and the way she writes. The whole premise of the book is a really cool idea. God showing someone what their missing by showing them what God hears is a really cool way to relate it to your own life in seeing where we fail as the human race. Even though we haven't actually been able to experience these things ourselves, the book gives us an interesting take on what it might be like.

Absolutely unique

Miracles is a book that makes us rethink our lives. What are we doing that counts in our lives? It's a must read for every Christian. We only have one life to live, let's make it count. I enjoyed the book tremendously. I saw myself running from place to place to keep up with the team. It was an experience, let me tell you. (I dare you to try it) I shead a few tears but most of all it caused me to take a look at my life. Blanche Blanche

Really sweet book. Makes you realize all we have to do to reach people for Jesus is to be willing to talk to them about it.

The Listener

I read The Listener for the first time several years ago, under its original title, THE HEART READER. I was so impressed I decided all the ladies in my church group should read it, too. The first lady to take it was reading it when she became ill and went to the hospital. I never got my book back and tried for some time to replace it. When I found another copy (at a used book store), there were two--one with the author's name, the other shown by "Anonymous." I bought another copy and read it again. Although it has a not-quite-sci-fi feeling to it, I thought it one of the most challenging books I've ever read. I highly recommend it. The Gifted makes a wonderful sequel.
