Very true

This is a great book. Stereotypical men v. stereotypical women. Being one of the afore mentioned men. Right on. Hilarious and accurate. Highly recommended.

Great book for couples to read together...single or married

My boyfriend and I went to the author's seminar at our church and this book has really helped us to understand (or at least attempt) to understand how each other thinks. It really does help build strong relationships if both partners are willing to read it.

Excellent Book

Our church is doing a 6-part series on marriage and relationships and used this book for Part 2. It is an excellent book. Reading some of the reviews, however, makes me want to clarify some points. First of all, although the author puts men and women into categories, it is understood that are, of course, exceptions to the rule. All men are not always one way and all women are not always the other way. But, in general, this is what happens in average relationships. Secondly, although faith-based, the information is extremely valuable and putting things in God's hands does not minimize one's ability to make decisions. What it means is, take a step back, put your faith outside yourselves for a moment. We spend too much time blaming and thinking one or the other has the answers. None of us do, not even the best therapist. So don't be turned off by God in this book. Thirdly, the recommendation that we do not discuss our problems with the opposite sex is VERY IMPORTANT. Of course we all talk and work with men and women throughout our day, but what this means is "don't take your very personal problems about the significant other to someone of the opposite sex." It's private and between you and your spouse and can cause problems. It can cause you to lean on someone else for intimacy and emotional issues and that can be dangerous. But to talk in generalities is certainly okay. It would heavily guard against talking in detail really to anyone who is not your spouse or a good friend of the same sex. It is just dangerous territory. So, take the book with an open mind. It is fantastic and is the best book I have read about the differences between men and women. Especially for my husband, he finally understood some very important things. It has changed us.

Definitely worth the time and money.

Excellent book! I have read several relationship books and this is the FIRST one that I have totally agreed with. It's amazing. They've described the workings of my relationship with my girlfriend perfectly. (now she's my wife) It has done wonders. I know I will never totally understand her, but at least now I understand why she sees things the way she does. Also, it's almost worth buying just for the humorous sections. :o) Thanks Bill and Pam Farrel!

engaging reading

This is an engaging read that held not only my attention, but my husband's as well. The book provides even more insight than the well-known tour of the planets and is also much more humorous. We're in our third decade of marriage and still learned much from the creative ideas and colorful stories. A great find for couples' Bible studies and fellowship groups.
